ballet bandwagon

Here is my little monkey. Isn't she just oozing with grace and gentility and southern belle charm?

Lenna started ballet a few weeks ago. So as not to be left out of the ballet dancer cousins' club, here is Lenna on her first day of class. No pressure Eve and Abby, but you are the last ones....

She loves it. She is still technically pre-ballet so won't be doing the intense ballet training or stage performances, but will have a recital at the end of the year. She is looking forward to next year when she can have a part in the nutcracker. Until then, she is happy with this class and her pink slippers and bun and shiny skirt. Ballet is a much better fit than gymnastics, where her long arms and legs kept getting in the way. I am assuming they will serve her better in this sport.
